But talking with a couple of amputees, really helped me feel like everything was going to be alright. I still needed to mourn, still needed to commit to going on, but seeing some others who were several years post amputation at least gave me hope, and that was very important. Having been so sick with the infection, things were happening very quickly and it took a while to catch up with the thought process and mourning parts. You know the feelings are all real, and people will have lots of questions.
