I had trouble denying him a book until we realized that he was staying up waaaay too late reading, then having trouble in the morning. We had to take a few favorite books away and all the flashlights. How can I say no to reading?! But sometimes you just have to. Tell Robby you'll come in and cover him ONCE after lights out and then not again. Wait until you don't hear him anymore and are fairly certain he's actually asleep, then go in and make sure he's comfortable for the night.
