My name is Amanda, and I am an AK due to c...Hello! My name is Amanda, and I am an AK due to cancer. My amputation was less than six months ago. What you say is absolutely correct. While not having a knee does come with it's own special set of problems, I am sure that having a longer residual limb does too. We all had something really awful happen to us, most of us did not cause it or bring it on ourselves, we all have to adjust to those problems and feelings that only another amputee could relate too. We are all of us different, but the same too, and none of us have had it "easy." Two-leggers never had it so good! :) we should all keep in mind what we have gone through. I like you cannot even imagine being without my dominant arm. Gives me a chill to think about. Anyway, more of us should have respect each other, and those who are trying to live full lives on what their god(s) or fate have left them. I applaud you. And your stories tickle me pink, by the way. Makes me think maybe I could have a child of my own someday, if I ever get the hang of this prosthesis thing and chase the cancer away for long enough.
